Five Favourites Finished!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a challenge I was setting myself for next year, a challenge that I was going to have a quick go at for the last couple of months of the year.  It was all about picking five of my favourite photos and getting them scrapped.

I only had a couple of weeks to do this month's challenge and here are the layouts I created:

I loved putting this one together:
For this one I decided to use a layout I'd seen on Pinterest for inspiration, you can see the original here.
And for the final three layouts I took one kit:
Allowed myself two hours
To create the three layouts, I love speed scrapping this way
So now I have made a little dent in my stash while adding another five layouts to my album.

I'll be back next week to share my five favourite photos from November.

Eating Out - Starz

Back in the summer me and Paul had a date night at a great restaurant called Starz Diner.

We really fancied an American style diner and found this place on the Charminster Road in Bournemouth.
It was a really lovely meal and so well presented:
Paul went for a King Burger and never in a million years did he think it would be this big!
I don't even know how he managed to get his chops round it!
But he did manage and he very nearly cleared his plate :)
And as I took these pictures I already knew what title I would use on the layout I'd end up doing :)
So if you're ever down that way then I can definitely recommend Starz Diner for good, value for money food.

Week Forty Seven

Whooshhhh, that week went quickly, here are the highlights;

Maddie hard at work before she had the rest of the week off sick, thankfully she's feeling much better now:
It was time to get some candles lit, this was a Yankee Candle with a Christmas scent :)
A free praline latte? Don't mind if I do :)
There was an amazing sunset, it was like the sky was on fire!
I spent a lovely lunch date with my Kindle and an eggnog latte :)
My stalker turned up but this time I managed to take a secret snap of her :)
The Ferris Wheel arrived in town for the Christmas light switch:
Mmmmm, dirty pudding, I really need to start laying off these though!
We had an Italian market in town on Friday, it was freezing, damp and cold and I did feel a bit sorry for the traders.
Bingo night with no winnings :(
Family cuddle time :)
I finally got my hot chocolate mug out :)
I got last week's pictures in my Project Life album:
And I am loving being up to date, I might even do Journal Your Christmas this year now I have the time (I didn't do it last year because I was so behind with Project Life):
It was my mum's birthday so I popped over to see her and saw my sister, Jessica, and her lovely daughter, Alice.  Alice was feeling poorly and didn't want her picture taken :(
Obviously I had plenty of cuddles with this lovely boy :)
And now here we are staring the LAST week of November!

I hope you have a good week.

Five Favourites

I've been seeing a lot of posts on Facebook recently where people are sharing their 5 favourite photos and then nominating friends to do the same.  I haven't been nominated....yet, but it has got me thinking.

I've spent most of my time working on my Project Life albums and I'm really missing 12 x 12 scrapping.  I have this weekend free so I thought I'd have a look through my phone (how lucky are we that we can carry around thousands of photos all the time?!) and pick 5 of my favourite photos.
I'm going to print these photos off (how unlucky are we that we can carry around thousands of photos that never see the light of day?!) and I'm going to scrap them.
This is a bit of a "soft opening" for a challenge I'm going to set myself for next year.  I thought I'd see how I get on now and then do something monthly next year.
Something like printing my 5 favourite photos from the previous month on the first of the month.
And then sharing the layouts I've made from the photos at the end of the month.
If I keep it up then by the end of the year I'll have 60 layouts of all of my favourite photos from the year, photos that, at the moment, remain locked in my phone.  I might however end up with a load of my favourite photos printed and trapped in a box, we'll see how I go :)

Maybe you'll be inspired to join in and get motivated to print those photos and get them scrapped!

Time is tight but I'm hoping to share 5 layouts of these 5 favourite photos of mine before my Christmas tree goes up on the 1st of December :)

Week Forty Six

Week forty six was nice and quiet, here are the highlights:

I woke up to an amazing sun rise:
We went shopping for a new phone for Maddie, it turned in to a two day event!
Alfie was poorly, I don't know what was wrong with him but he just wasn't himself :(
Luckily he'd perked up the next day and had a wag back in his tail :)
I got my Miss Slinky sash from Slimming World, and yes I did wear it while I did my supermarket shop!
I had a lovely dirty pudding :)
And tried these beauties from M&S :)
I spent a weekend at the beach:
Got totally caught up with Project Life!
Had lots of cuddles with this beauty:
And made this for my niece, Hells Bells, for Christmas.  It's a basic beanie hat with an Attic24 Snowflake:
It was a nice, relaxing week and I'm ready to tackle the week ahead!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Forty Five

Week forty five was a busy one, here are the highlights:

The weather changed and the temperature dropped, it was very wet!
My hair was finally long enough for me to wear it up:
I had the first of many red cups, this was eggnog latte and it was gorgeous!
On bonfire night we don't go to a firework display (Maddie doesn't like them), we stay home and watch this:
On Thursday we had the day off work and went to London, Maddie called this our jazz feet shot :)
We had a quick stop at Pudding Lane because I've been watching the BBC dramatisation of the Great Fire of London.
Then we went to see the poppies, a very emotional experience.
And I'm so pleased I made the effort.
We spotted a Paddington Bear at London Bridge Station and I'm hoping to go back and find the rest of them :) I think there are about 50 hidden around London.
That evening I was so proud to be voted Miss Slinky by my slimming group:
And I still had dirty pudding!
Friday evening saw me at bingo, I haven't been for such a long time.  No winnings but lots of fun :)
I went to a crop on Saturday with a lovely group of ladies and got some more Project Life done.  I'm currently 6 weeks behind but considering I was over 20 weeks behind in October I think I'm doing well.
I was given a cutting from a very special Money Tree and it brought me luck, I won £25 on the lottery that night!
On Sunday I felt really poorly, I still don't feel right now, so I had a Christmas PJ day, blog read and watched Elf, it was great medicine :)
I did manage to get myself off of the sofa so that I could play with Alfie and his new ball and the fresh air did help.
I think and hope that this week will be a bit quieter around here and I can get some more work done on my homemade Christmas presents.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by
