Week Twelve Included a Hike!

Week twelve whizzed by, here are the highlights:

After completing the Marsden March I decided to have the Monday off work.  I still had some strength in my legs so went for a walk with Sarah and Bingo :)
Then we went to The Harvester for breakfast :)
Before I went for a 50 length swim :)
I had a little win at bingo in the evening :)
Zumba was cancelled on Tuesday so me and my gal went to see Beauty and the Beast instead :)
Look at how gorgeous she is :)
My friend Jo couldn't make our Wednesday evening walk and it would have been so easy for me not to bother, I'd already done 10,000 steps and it was freezing.  The old me would have stayed indoors but the new me went for a walk by myself instead :)
After having an unexpected gain at slimming last week I was delighted with this massive loss!
And it made dirty pudding taste even sweeter :)
On Friday I went on a road trip to see Paul, I've been so busy and haven't seen him for ages :(
Look what he gave me when I got there :)
On Saturday we went for a walk along the seafront where we saw these goats grazing!
We actually walked over 5 miles along the seafront to Hengistbury Head!
The stunning views made the walk worth while :)
My mum had asked me to see if I could find the lily pond because she used to go there when she was a little girl, I found it! We're going to go back and take some pictures when the lilies are out :)
We then had the most amazing lunch at Hikers...
Which included cake :)
Before starting the long walk home.
Sunday we were back on the beach again and before I knew it it was time for me to head home :(
Another week has started and once again I'm looking forward to doing something fun at the weekend :)

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Eleven And A Challenge Completed!

Another week has passed at the speed of light! Here are the highlights:

I was up and out early on Monday so I had time to wash the car :)
It's been such lovely weather for walking in the park :)
The sun is still up when I go swimming :)
Zumba was bouncy :)
I gained 2lbs and don't really know why :( I did win the raffle though :)
Dirty pudding was lush :)
Blossom is everywhere :)
I went out for coffee....
To meet up with a friend I haven't seen since I was fat!  She was surprised by my new look and we had a really lovely afternoon :)
On Sunday we had a little coach trip to the Marsden Hospital in Fulham.  We were dumped outside and had to walk all the way back to the Marsden in Sutton!
We managed the 15 miles in 4 hours and 21 minutes and had a fantastic day!
I can't tell you how lovely it was to sink in to this lovely, bubbly bath afterwards :)
Then I curled up with my boy on the sofa and just relaxed.
This week has started well and I'm hoping it continues to be just as nice.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Ten And I Gained A New Sister In Law!

This week has been a lot quieter than the last couple of weeks, here are the highlights:

I finally finished Project Life 2016 :)
The weather has been gorgeous (most days):
Zumba was lots of fun as usual :)
My little brother got married to his girlfriend in Thailand :)
I was so sad that none of us could be there but how gorgeous do they both look?!?
A lovely big batch of 2017 photos arrived :)
We went to a quiz night, I don't know where we came because it all turned in to a bit of a shambles at the end :)
I didn't lose any weight this week but I did win the Greatest Loser Award at my Slimming World Group :)
And celebrated with this lush dirty pudding :)
I did lots of walking at the weekend!
Maddie had a good few inches of her long locks chopped off :)
I didn't have any luck at bingo :(
I went on a train journey:
To support my friend Clare who was taking part in the Surrey Half.  She did amazingly well and we're all so proud of her!
I did some batch cooking to restock the freezer with homemade Slimming World meals :)
And finally relaxed with my crochet while watching Call The Midwife.
Now the new week has started and I have my own physical challenge at the end of it!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

We Need A Target To Get To Target!

At the start of 2016 I decided that enough was enough and I had to sort out my weight problem once and for all!

I shared this picture of me failing to get in to a pair of jeans that I really love and I vowed that I would fit in to them by the summer:
By the summer I was in them and feeling fantastic!
The next target was to weigh lighter than my sister Jemma (middle) and late last year I did it.  So I was on to my next target, get to a lighter weight than Jessica (left) and I did that a few weeks ago!
Working towards small targets is really helping me to reach that final big target.  To get to that final goal I need to lost just 1st 5.5lbs and I know I will do it this year.  The only trouble was I didn't have another small target to aim for, until today.

This morning Jessica gave me a bag of clothes and in the bag were a pair of jeans, not just any pair of jeans though, the jeans she wants to lose weight to get back in to.  Perfect, the goal I am working towards now is fitting in these jeans before she can :)
Weight loss isn't always about the scales, sometimes you just know your body is getting smaller or changing shape but the dial on the scales just isn't budging.  This is where those little, non scale victories, really help.  If you're getting married or going on holiday then you have easy targets to aim for.  If you haven't got big goals to aim for then look around for the little ones because it really does help.

I hope someone finds this useful.
