Week Eight

I really can't believe that we're in the last week of February already, time is a flying!

Here are my highlights from last week:

I had a cheeky little win a bingo!
I moved desk at work so now I have a view of the market square.
I looked very efficient at work, well I think I did :)
I renewed my social club membership and had a cheeky half, the only time I ever really visit the club is to renew my annual membership!
My fence came down.  It survived all of the storms we had and then fell down when there was barely a breeze. Basically it's the neighbours fence but they couldn't be bothered to take it down when they put their new one up and now both fences are very, shall we say, fluid.  The other one is bound to topple soon!
The fallen fence made me turn to coffee, biscuits and crafting.

I got a lovely new case for my lovely new phone :)
I have no clue what my sister was doing in the office!
I put on another pound this week and really need to get back on track, still had dirty pudding though!
My Studio Calico kit finally turned up, a week later than it normally does.
YAY, I finished Project Life 2013
And started Project Life 2014!
We went to my mum's for Sunday dinner with friends and played boardgames in the evening.
I spent a lot of time with her:
And a lot of time being watched by him:
It was another lovely week.

I hope you had a good one

Week Seven!

Another week, another weekly round up!  This year sure is flying by and here are the highlights for week seven:

I upgraded my phone and even managed to transfer all of the data and apps by myself!
We had a break in the rain and the sun shone ALL day!
I cooked a lovely, low fat, tasty stir fry:
Me and Maddie had a coffee at lunch time in Cafe Nero and just sat there reading, it was lovely.  We used to do it a lot last year and although we live together and work together it's still lovely to spend downtime together:
Aww we both got a Valentine's Card, they were from the dogs we adopted at the Dog's Trust :)
Maddie got the giggles over something and nothing so, in turn, I got the giggles :)
I stayed the same at weigh in this week but we still enjoyed 'dirty' pudding:
I have to tell you that this boy makes the best hot water bottle ever!  He laid on me and kept me lovely and warm :)
I treated Maddie to some Valentine's chocolates, she was so pleased with this small gesture:
My sister tried to show she looked better in my hat than I do!
Me and Maddie enjoyed some tea and biscuits before I headed down to Paul's:
We had a massive storm and yes I did decide to drive 106 miles through it get to Paul's!  It was a hairy journey but I'm glad I did it because the rest of the weekend was gorgeous.  When we went out the morning after the storm I was so glad I didn't live in this house!:
I treat myself to some crafting goodness :)
And I even had some wine although I said to Paul that maybe I shouldn't because the label on the bottle looked like it was telling me to stop!
I got to hold this fella, he was so lovely but the picture of me and he didn't come out very well :( Never mind, I know his owner so I'm sure we'll meet again in the future :)
I did a lot of Project Life catch up, only two weeks left to go now!  This really has been my favourite ever project and I will definitely be doing it again this year.
I got Alfie a new baby, he loves a cuddly toy but, it seems, he loves this one a little too much and I caught him 'in the act' the dirty hound! :D
So week seven was another great week and I shall look forward to reliving it when I put the pictures in my album.

I hope you've had a good week and stayed safe if you were affected by the bad weather.

Fast Five Spice Chicken

This week I have a super speedy recipe for you to enjoy especially if you're short of time and fancy a Chinese!
You need:
4 tbsp light soy sauce
1 level tbsp sweet chilli sauce
2 tsp white wine vinegar
4 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
4 skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced ( I used a pack of thighs though because I think the flavour is better)
One Cal cooking spray
400g mixed stir-fry vegetables
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
Place light soy sauce, sweet chilli sauce, white wine vinegar, Chinese five-spice and garlic in a bowl.
Then stir in the chicken, I left mine to marinade but you don't have to.
Stir fry the chicken in a hot pan for about 5 minutes until it's all lightly browned.
Add the vegetables and continue to stir fry for a further 3-4 minutes before adding the dark soy sauce and cooking for another 2 minutes.
Serve with plain, boiled rice or noodles for a lovely, quick dinner that only has half a SYN with Slimming World!

Hope you enjoy

Week Six

Last week started off fantastically, here's why:

Paul turned 50 and became a lord!
So he had to have a special mug:
And oysters before his lobster :)
Then a beautiful birthday cake made by his niece and sister, it was delicious and had a Jack Daniels frosting!
I had lots of cuddles with this beautiful girl but I also got a bit sad because she's started to show her age :(
I managed to print all of my Project Life photos right up to date, it worked out to be 14 weeks worth of photos!
The final part of Paul's birthday celebrations was to go to Frieda's for afternoon tea :)
I started on a new blanket for Maddie.  She picked the colours and I think it's because they remind her of Barney the dinosaur, her favourite childhood toy :)
I splashed out on some Project Life bits and pieces and some new albums from Sarah's Cards, I was so impressed with how quickly the order arrived!
Alfie loved the bubble wrap that my goodies were wrapped in, it was so funny to see him walking on it!
I gained 3lbs while I was at Paul's but I won the fruit raffle so I'm hoping for a good loss this week :)
Erm, then we had dirty pudding :)
Which Maddie really enjoyed!
I spent the whole of Saturday at the crop and had a great time.
Then on Sunday I had a big bowl of the best popcorn ever while watching a film and working on Project Life.
After days of rain we had a gorgeous sunset.
I had plenty of cuddles with him:
And rolled my eyes plenty of times at her:
Week six was a really great week with lots of good memories.

I hope you're spending your time wisely.
