Five Favourites Finished!

At the start of the month I shared my five favourite photos from December, now I'm back to share the layouts I made using those photos.

I am a Christmas nut, I really do love it, but once it's over I really don't like to see little reminders about - weird I know!  For that reason, although I have lots of Christmas stash, I never really scrap Christmas.

This year I was very lucky because Maddie's present to me was Shimelle's Christmas in a Box.  I mixed it up with 2013's Christmas in a Box to create these layouts.

I've gone from someone who's scared of journalling to someone who fills half a page with it on this layout!
I really love this photo of Maddie and Alice and I hope the dark background makes it pop off the page :)
Naughty Paul!
Lots of stamping on this one, something I'm trying to do more of:
I actually covered the page with random date stamps to give it a bit of interest:
And I found the perfect paper for these photos :)
So that's another five layouts that I'm really happy with in my album.

I'll be back next week to share my five favourite photos from January.

Crochet Mood Blanket - Week Four

Another week has passed and I am still in love with this project.  I love sitting down at the end of the day and seeing what colour "speaks" to me and what part of my day it reminds me of.

Here are the colours from last week:

Day twenty two - Petrol, I was upset that I'd had a weight gain :(
Day twenty three - Camel, I was at the seaside for the weekend :)
Day twenty four - Turquoise, I spend a happy, sunny day with Paul :)
Day twenty five - Spice, feeling happy and relaxed.
Day twenty six - Grey, I had the Monday blues and I was so cold :(
Day twenty seven - Citron, I was feeling good after going for a lovely, long walk
Day twenty eight - Bluebell, I got absolutely soaked when I went for a walk in the park :(
And here is my progress so far, it's getting big enough to keep my lap warm :)
Now I'm looking forward to discovering what colours I'll chose this week!

Week Four

Here we are at the beginning of week five!!! That means it's time to share the highlights of week four.

I couldn't get through Monday without a biscuit or two!
I was back to my normal 'not playing with skill' at bingo:
Yes this did make it a good day :)
I had to get the car cleaned :( White cars are horrible at this time of the year!
Another 4.5 mile walk done :)
Yay, the fence was fixed!
This gorgeous bundle of wool arrived :)
I did some sock knitting.
She looked happy to be going to work :)
Dirty pudding!
I got to spend the weekend with this lovely girlie :)
Had coffee and cake while watching the world go by.
Enjoyed an afternoon of scrapping:
Ate the last of the mince pies!
And then came home to my girl :)
I'm looking forward to a quiet and relaxing week now :)

Crochet Mood Blanket - Week Three

I am still really loving this project, trying to imagine what this blanket will look like at the end of the year is difficult, it could be a monster :) Here are my colours from week three:

Day fifteen - Aspen, I was freezing cold and feeling happy because I'd had a weight loss :)
Day sixteen - Magenta, I was very happy because I'd had a big win at bingo :)
Day seventeen - Cloud Blue, I was relaxed and happy after a lovely day at my local crop and another win at bingo :)
Day eighteen - Parchment, I was feeling really cold and a little bit down because there weren't enough hours in the day to do what I wanted :(
Day nineteen - Cream, I was as cold as ice!
Day twenty - Pomegranate, I felt good because my fence was fixed and I'd been for a lovely, long walk.
Day twenty one - Copper, I had a lovely, relaxed night and a hot bath.
And here it is in its full glory :)
I'll be back with another update next week.

Week Three

This week was over far too quickly for my liking!  Here are the highlights:

I had a real panic when my computer had a funny turn so thought it was best to finally back up my pictures!
I had a little win at bingo :)
I went for my first proper walk of the year and did it in rain, sleet and hail!
I finished this blanket for my niece Alice:
And she really loved it :)
I turned 43!
My boss bought me a birthday lunch :)
And my mum cooked me a lovely roast :)
Maddie bought me this beautiful charm :)
The neighbour's fence finally fell down :(
I lost 2.5lbs and had dirty pudding :)
I met my friend Lauren for lunch:
Then had not one…
But two lovely wins at bingo :)
I baked a cake:
To take to the crop:
Assembled this beauty :)
Had another win - I should point out that I don't go to bingo every day but get a lot of free vouchers in January :)
I got all of my 2014 photos in my Project Life album:
And spent Sunday evening eating cheesecake and watching TV:
No wonder the week went so quickly! It also included a visit to a craft shop, coffee with a friend, crocheting and knitting…phew!

Have a great week.
