We have had a lot of talks in the past few weeks about Christmas and how to cope with it and, quite frankly, I wasn't coping with the talk of Christmas and the pressure I felt, the pressure I had put on myself to continue losing over Christmas.
I had gain after gain and was so unhappy so I refocused. I stopped thinking about the fast approaching run away train called Christmas and started focusing on something else instead.
I thought back to the summer of 2014, not a great time for me personally but a great time for my weight loss. During that summer I wore a lovely pair of cropped jeans and I felt great in them. In the summer of 2015 the gap between the button and buttonhole on those jeans was a vast canyon and that upset me :(
So my focus changed from Christmas to summer 2016 when I really want to walk along the beach with those jeans on, and it worked!
This was the result the first week after I'd changed my thought process and I was so happy!
The week after that I maintained, it wasn't a loss but it wasn't a gain either and I'd had a heavy week so I was still happy :)
And I was over the moon :)
I'm weighing in tonight and I'm hoping for another good loss, a loss that will allow me to enjoy myself at Christmas but, more importantly, a loss that will get me in those jeans come the summer.
Remember - everyone is different therefore everyone's goals, thoughts, deadlines and focus should be different too. Find something that works for you.

Thanks for the wise words jo I'm currently collecting my thoughts about my plan on this side of things my practice nurse told me that losing weight is 99% in the mind I think that's where I'm going wrong my focus isn't right
You are quite right Jo and I am sure that you will get there by the summer. So much is made about Christmas - I actually got frightened at the thought of eating too much over the festive period and regaining weight and so wasn't looking forward to it at all. I've given myself a good talking to and am just going to eat sensibly and weigh in again after Christmas and see what the damage is then and then worry about it! Good luck to you x
I've got my fingers crossed for you!
Good on you refocusing! And well done with the loss. I just don't get why the older we get, the more it seems to want to hang around.... In ALL senses of the word!!! ' luck with it:)!!
