Week Seventeen

Week seventeen was relatively quiet, here are the highlights:

Now that the evenings are lighter I can go back to walking through the park on my Tuesday night walk :)
I enjoyed a quiz night with friends and although we came 9th out of 11 our placing didn't reflect the scoring at all, we knew more than we thought we did!
Sarah's mum Jay was delighted when Sarah won the raffle and claimed this beautiful decanter for her :)
Maddie was still trying on hats during her lunch breaks!
Dirty pudding :)
I enjoyed a glass of wine at the end of the working week :)
I got a beautiful new car!
I went to see my niece at her movie night themed birthday party :)
My sister had made this amazing cake!
I cleaned my work car :)
And spent some time with crazy Alice.  It turns out that she's another one who can't say Samantha and called her Anthfafa :)
I managed to fit in a bit of scrapping:
Before meeting up with my family to celebrate Jack and Jemma's birthdays!
Where I spent some time with crazy Bella :)
And lit the candles on the cake again :)
Maddie refused to come, she doesn't like crowds and with my mum, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 6 nephews, 3 nieces, 1 great niece, 1 great nephew plus partners there is always a crowd!!!
And then I had a relaxing evening and enjoyed a delicious slab of cake with a cup of tea :)
Here's hoping that this week is a good one!

Week Sixteen

Week sixteen was a good one, here are the highlights:

I had a night out at bingo with the girls, no winnings but lots of laughs :)
I had a tooth out, it's been niggling me since I had a filling in it over a year ago so I was pleased to finally see the back of it :)
Maddie was so pleased to be going to work in the sunshine :)
I came home to a garden full of parakeets :)
And had a cheeky, mid week glass of wine :)
Alfie decided to do some computing :)
I shared the ends of wool with the birds :)
Dirty pudding and a maintain at slimming!
Saturday was crop day where I managed 3 layouts!
And then I spent some time kissing my mum's neighbour's dog Poppy :)
I dragged out my cross stitch.  Like many people with multiple hobbies I change them with the season.  When it gets too warm to crochet blankets and it's lighter in the evenings I like to get my sewing out.
I tried out a new Slimming World recipe, it was delicious!
I spent a lot of time in the garden playing with Alfie :)
And then snuggled in bed with nice clean sheets!
This week has already got off to a busy start but I feel well rested so I'm fine with that.

Week Fifteen

I'm quite glad that week fifteen is over with, it didn't get off to a great start!

My tooth was still hurting and I had a cluster headache, this helped :)
I did have a nice 4 mile walk with Jo in the sunshine :)
And went to the cinema to see Eddie the Eagle, it's a brilliant film!
My lovely neighbour gave me these great gifts for looking after her cat :)
I spent the day with Sandra at the Stitch, Sewing and Hobbycraft show at Excel:
So of course that involved cake :)
The show was packed and the main display was very wintry, in fact there was a lot of Christmas stuff on show!
I had a lazy weekend working on this:
And then sewing the ends in!
But it was worth it because Maddie loves it:
And it keeps her warm when she's reading :)
So although the week got off to a horrible start it certainly improved very quickly!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Fourteen

Week fourteen was a good one, well the start of it was! Here are the highlights:

As Easter Monday was a Bank Holiday we strolled up to the pub for breakfast!
And it was a breakfast of epic proportions!
I started walking again and got absolutely soaked! I'm so glad I went though.
We both got cosy under blankets I'd made, I'm so proud of these :)
I decided it was time to sort the airing cupboard out!
Things were looking a lot worse....
Before they started looking a lot better! Two bags to the charity shop and one to the bin and it's still jam packed though!
We enjoyed some lovely weather:
And I had an evening with some of the crop girls :)
I was so happy with only a half a pound gain this week and enjoyed dirty pudding :)
She was still trying on hats :)
On Saturday I whizzed through my to do list:
Which included looking after the neighbour's cat Elsa!
And I missed out on cuddle time because I was too busy :(
I even sold my car!
I worked hard so that I could have a me day on Sunday with the hope of catching up on Project Life.  But the nice day I planned didn't happen because I woke up with an abscess on my tooth so I had a trip to the dentist instead and spent the rest of Sunday in pain :(
A cluster headache on Monday only added to my misery :(

I'm really hoping that the week is going to improve!
