Week Twenty Two

Week twenty two had lots of highs and a massive low, here's how it panned out:

The week started off beautifully:
And I even had time for coffee in the garden before work!
The evening though was a horse of a different colour and we had an amazing storm!
The hail was so loud we couldn't hear the TV!
My Tuesday night walks are now taking place in the sunshine :)
On Wednesday I looked at my phone and the whole screen was pixelated :( No matter what I did I couldn't get it to restore, it was totally dead!  After spending nearly 3 hours in the Apple store on Thursday I had a brand new phone but I had lost 6 weeks of photos :( I have certainly learnt my lesson on backing up my phone!
After the stress of the past 24 hours I was over the moon to have lost 5.5lbs and get the Slimmer of the Week award!
And I really did enjoy my dirty pudding!
On Friday I went on a road trip to see this pretty girly :)
He carried a watermelon this time :)
And I had a crack at making Slimming World carrot cake, I think I'll tweak the recipe and have another go.
The weather for the whole weekend was gorgeous.
And on Sunday we enjoyed a stroll around a car boot sale.
Where my tongue turned blue :)
Then Paul treated me and his sister to a lovely roast :)
And a not so Slimming World friendly pudding!
Now although I was unlucky to lose 6 weeks of photos when my phone crashed I was lucky enough to have already ordered the prints for my Project Life album! I had 120 photos printed but not in any sort of order :( Thanks to this weekly round up blog post I do every week I was able, in a couple of hours, to get all of my photos dated! I even had time to set up a work station and get a couple of weeks completed in my album.
And just look at that cup above to see the romantic present Paul got me for Valentine's Day!

My phone is now backed up here, there and everywhere, it's a Bank Holiday and I'm going out to enjoy myself in the sunshine.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Twenty One

I have just had a really lovely week, here are the highlights:

I got home from work and built a little fence!  I have great neighbours and we're always talking over the fence but their mean cat, lol, winds up my poor Alfie and he barks himself hoarse.  With this little fence he can't see the cat and I still get to have a chat :)
Maddie was being a bit silly at work!
I had a lovely 4 mile walk :)
Alfie refereed a fox fight from the living room window, my curtains lost! (That blur in the top left corner is Maddie trying to photo bomb!)
I had another loss :)
And enjoyed dirty pudding :)
Alfie loved spending lots of time outside :)
I hadn't been to bingo for ages and it was nice to have a little win on my return :)
Sunday morning was a coffee in the garden while still in my PJs morning :)
Then getting the car washed.
Before enjoying some scrapping time :)
I cut the grass while Alfie enjoyed the tennis balls his friend Bingo had sent over for him :)
And then I enjoyed the last of the sunshine while reading in the garden.
It was such a lovely week and a relaxing weekend.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

Five Favourites From April

I can't believe that I painstakingly narrowed down my five favourite photos from April and forgot to share them!
The photos the made me smile.
And made me think of places I'd been.
And things I'd done.
And the funny stories along the way.
I am looking forward to reliving these memories again when I scrap them, hopefully this weekend.

I hope your week is going well.

Week Twenty

Where does the time go?!?!? Week twenty is over already, here are the highlights:

We had a bit of excitement at work when we looked out of the window and saw a building opposite on fire!  Luckily nobody was hurt.
On Tuesday we both had the day off and went to see the new Captain America film which was great :)
Afterwards I managed to fit in a bit of scrapping time :)
On Wednesday I met up with my old boss and good friend Lauren. Unfortunately I really don't see her as much as I'd like to.  Weirdly, we both had a memory notification to say that we spent the same evening together exactly 4 years ago! We won't leave it that long to get together again :)
Maddie was, as ever, delighted to be arriving at work in the morning :)
I really have given myself a kick up the backside and stuck to my Slimming World plan, I lost 3lbs this week and it made dirty pudding taste even better!
I opened the door at work to this!  What kind of person thinks it's acceptable to shove an unwanted trolley in a doorway?!?!?
Maddie was delighted that M&S were giving out free samples of cake :)
Maddie won't answer the phone at work so we're building her up to it by letting her try out the headsets :) She's obviously thrilled!
On Friday I was so busy and it was so hot, I finally got to sit down at 10pm and enjoy this Solero, only 5 SYNs! While we were noshing our ices we were watching The Five and if you haven't watched it then you should, it's the best drama I have ever seen and left me feeling exhausted!
Saturday was crop day :)
And instead of making the normal pig of myself I stuck to healthy treats :)
Erm, it was April's birthday so Sarah treated all of the bingo girls to cupcakes! Good job I'd stuck to plan during the day :)
On Sunday morning I fancied a some cookies so baked these Slimming World oat biscuits, there were lovely and SYN free :)
I then spent over 3 hours sorting out the garden, I was sitting on my swing seat in the middle and this was the view to my right:
And this was the view to my left.  I leave the very end of the garden a bit wild because I am lucky enough to have hedgehogs roaming about!  I've had them in my garden for 9 years and would hate to accidentally harm one.  I know they love being in this part of the garden because Alfie tells me so :)
I then spent the afternoon chilling out and enjoying a coffee in my lovely cup :)
Before enjoying a roast dinner cooked by my mum, washed down with a nice glass of wine!
I spent the evening with my feet up and my sewing out :)
While Alfie got on his bed early, obviously exhausted after spending the day running in the garden!
Now the new week has started and it's back to the grind!

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by
