Weeks Fifty One & Fifty Two!

Wow, here we are in week one of 2015! The last year has flown by and here are the highlights of my last two weeks of 2014:

Maddie had her very first blood test, my mum had to put her in some sort of a head lock first though!
She was quite proud of her war wounds :)
I had to say goodbye to one of the most charming, funny and amazing men I have ever met.
I had a very festive dirty pudding :)
We watched Christmas films together :)
The results of Maddie's blood test came back clear which was a huge relief!
Someone didn't know the height of their vehicle and caused chaos in Epsom!
I gatecrashed my sister Jessica's Christmas party:
And then went to my own Christmas party with my other sister Jemma:
I popped in to wish my friend Sara a Merry Christmas and she very kindly chopped my hair off :)
And I spent a lot of time knitting and watching TV.
I went to the panto with my friend Sarah:
And then put the finishing touches to all of the Christmas presents I made this year;
Before baking some more Christmas presents:
I had this to help with the wrapping of the final presents and it made the job a whole lot more enjoyable:)
And then it was time to bake my mince pies:
And snickerdoodles :)
On Christmas Eve I had a lovely relaxing evening knowing that everything was done :)
And the stockings were under the tree:
Christmas morning was lovely, Maddie has a new favourite hat:
And Paul loved his sweeties :)
My nephews Jack and George loved the presents I made for them in Chelsea colours :)
My aunt Sally taught Maddie how to dance :)
I finally got round to making something for myself, just in time for the cold weather:
And Alfie got to have some cuddles with Paul :)
The weather stayed crisp and dry and luckily we didn't get any snow:
And before I knew it Christmas was over, Paul and Pippy had gone home and I was left with the last piece of chocolate cake :)
The past two weeks have been great and now I'm really looking forward to the New Year.

I hope you had a lovely Christmas.

Week Fifty

I can't believe how quickly the weeks are passing now!  Here are the highs and lows of week fifty:

Clear but cold weather means we've had some lovely sunrises:
I wrote out a few Christmas cards:
I made a hat that was modelled by my beautiful assistant :)
We've had far too many sweets and biscuits in the office which caused me to gain 3.5lbs this week!
I got my presents wrapped, not traditional paper but Maddie is a Marvel nut!
I was naughty and still had dirty pudding:
I got a lovely hamper gift delivered to work :)
Friday was a horrible day because Maddie hasn't been well and for the first time in 15 years actually went to the doctors!  I had a lovely surprise in the evening though when Paul turned up :)
We had a great day out on Saturday and stopped off for lunch at Gorgeous Gerties in Dorking :)
And of course we had to have some of their lovely cake!
It was party night at bingo with a free buffet and wine, we didn't win anything apart from the little prize in the crackers :)
Mum won a Christmas jumper that she's going to give to my sister Jessica.
But not before I modelled it :)
And before I knew it Sunday night had arrived and I was snuggled on the sofa with my boy.
I just know that this week is going to whizz by and I already know there are going to be some sad times with a funeral on Wednesday :(

I hope you have a great week.

Week Forty Nine

Well the first week in December is over and I had a blast!  Here are the highlights:

On the 1st December I always put my tree up, the photo wouldn't be complete without my photo bomber!
And here it is without her :)
Excited about getting to work? Probably not :)
Alfie got a new baby which he loves, you can just about make out the blur of his waggy tail!
We turned the office in to a disco :)
I lost another pound this week at Slimming World and enjoyed this dirty pudding :)
On Friday night I went out for dinner and bingo with the girls, how old school is that scampi in a basket? :)
Saturday was crop day and I had a really great time, I even managed 2 layouts!
And I was feeling very festive in my Christmas jumper, a gift from my mum.
On Sunday I felt really ill so spent the day on the sofa, under my blanket, watching TV while nurse Alfie looked after me.
After a night of coughing I'm still not feeling that great today but hey ho it's off to work I go.

I hope you have a great week.

Christmas Club…It's Back!!!!

Sian over at From High in the Sky has rekindled the Christmas Club.  For the next 3 Sundays she's encouraging us to share a tip, a recipe, a story....well anything we want to share about our Christmas really.

This week I'm sharing a story, one I think I may have shared before but it's started a tradition now!

A few years ago I shared a picture of my Santa cookie jar on Facebook.  My friend Sarah's husband was looking at it and as she walked past and glanced over his shoulder she said "Aww isn't that a lovely picture of Sam as a baby"!!!!! I think she needs to go to Specsavers :)
So every year since then the first thing we do when the decorations are up is send Sarah a picture of big Sam with "baby Sam".
And I often wonder if we'll ever stop laughing about it :)

Have you got a Christmas story to tell?  Then head over to Sian's to share it.

Five Favourites From November

Not only did November see the fifth anniversary of my blog pass I also took some pictures I really love.  Here are my five favourites for the month:

Me and Maddie had a great day out seeing the poppies at The Tower of London.
I can see me adding a few more photos from the day to make a double spread!
Alfie was poorly but this picture of him smiling when he felt better melts my heart :)
We had a lovely family cuddle and I think this picture definitely deserves a page in my album.
And my final choice is a selfie of me, I don't often scrap myself so I thought change that.
I'll be back at the end of December to share the layouts I've made using these photos.  What with this, Journal Your Christmas and Project Life I think December is going to be a very scrappy month :)

Week Forty Eight

Well that's it, November is done and dusted and here we are on the first day of December!

Here are the highlights from week forty eight:

We had some really lovely dry but chilly days:
I've been slack as a yak with my diet so it was time to start walking around the park in my lunch break!
Maddie was feeling so much better this week:
I had my first mince pie of the year when I went to the lovely Sandra's for the evening:
This is what I see as I walk out of my office in the evening now :)
I had a cheeky glass or two of wine :)
And delicious dirty pudding (what was I saying about being as slack as a yak?!?!)
I went to the seaside for the weekend and the weather was glorious:
I managed to get my Christmas shopping done :)
And spent lots of time cuddling this pretty girl :)
When I got home I had received my first Christmas card in the post!
So it was a really lovely week and I hope that this one is just as nice.  The Christmas tree is going up tonight so that's a great start to the week :)

I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by
