Week Fifty

Week fifty was just what I needed, it was very quiet and gave me some much needed down time to put my feet up and recharge my batteries:
This week Maddie decided to be a donkey, her favourite animal :)
I had an appointment with the dentist, I thought it was going to be for an extraction but it was just a filling :)
I met up with my old friends, Davide:
And Steph :)
And enjoyed this amazing dirty pudding, salted caramel profiteroles with a vanilla cream dip!
And on Friday I enjoyed a relaxing evening with a glass of wine :)
On Saturday Maddie decided to treat herself to a new laptop before her old one completely dies!
I had a fun night out with the girls, no winnings though :(
On Sunday I collected the new laptop :)
And spent the rest of the day catching up on Project Life with a glass (and it was just the one) of wine.
Now I feel very refreshed and I'm ready to start my last week at work before I finish on Friday and have a nice break until the New Year :)

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

#thebusiestdayofmyyear

Saturday 5th December really was the busiest day of my year, the first thing went in my diary back in January and then the events and invitations just kept arriving!

Obviously I couldn't fit everything in but I gave it a good go!  Here are the highlights:

I woke up to a purple sky which I took as a good sign, it was my friend Clare's wedding day and purple is her favourite colour! Great start :)
This was my first outfit of the day, I'd been so looking forward to wearing this :)
First stop was the hairdressers so Sara could tidy my barnet up :)
And then I stopped off to give my nephew, Oliver, his birthday present.  Technically then, my first event of the day went in the diary nine years ago when he was born :)
After seeing Oliver open his present I went to the Christmas crop :)
After I'd managed one layout and had a lovely morning with everyone I got in to my second outfit of the day.  I love this dress and feel amazing in it :)
Then I head down to Smallfield Place for the highlight of the day:
I met up with the lovely Allison and her beautiful daughter Victoria:
And we watched one of our oldest friends, Clare, tie the knot with Heather :) They both looked so beautiful:
A nod to Christmas, these cute and unusual crackers were on the table:
The food was lovely and dessert arrived in a box!
And it was amazing!
And there was music......and I danced!
It was a beautiful wedding in a lovely house with amazing people and I was so fortunate to be invited.

The invitations I had to decline were Paul's Christmas party and Christmas bingo.  The girls sent me some pictures to let me know I was missed :)
And they did look festive :)
And they were well fed :)
But they didn't have the run of a manor house, in the country, with amazing food, dancing and two beautiful brides :)

There is nothing in the diary now for weeks!

Week Forty Nine

Another great week is over and we're a week closer to Christmas!!! Here are the highlights:

I treated myself to a few bits and they arrived on Monday :)
Maddie loved lounging on the new sofas!
We put the Christmas tree up :)
Maddie stuck to our tradition by putting the star on, she's done it every year since she was a baby :)
And then she posed with "Baby Sam" so we could send Sarah her annual photo :)
Maddie had her advent calender:
Alfie had his:
And I had my amazing advent box from the lovely Sandra :)
I had a lovely win at bingo :)
Dirty pudding :)
I got my first Christmas card, all the way from the USA!
I've skipped Saturday as it's going to have a whole post dedicated to it!

On Sunday I wrapped all of my Christmas presents then spent the rest of the day relaxing :)
It really was a great week and now I'm looking forward to the week ahead knowing I've got an old friend visiting.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Forty Eight

The last full week of November is done and dusted, here are the highlights:

I spent a lot of time cuddling up with this boy as usual :)
I had some time for scrapping :)
And I'm still up to date with my mood blanket, which Alfie is loving :)
I got the hot chocolate mug out :)
Exactly a year to the day when the fire brigade woke me up in the middle of the night it was the turn of the police.  I have no idea what they were doing but there were 4 police cars in my little cul-de-sac!
Dirty pudding :)
My lovely friend Sandra turned up at my office door with a wonderful surprise, an advent gift box!  I was totally overwhelmed :)
Paul came up at the weekend and we went on a road trip that included bacon rolls:
And crochet!
We went to see one of my favourite couples, Michelle...
And Tracy :)
It was a flying visit to collect some sofas.  We were lucky that Sarah and Chris (my other favourite couple) came round to help us get the sofas in.  I did think the boys were going to walk off the job when Sarah called them The Chuckle Brothers and kept saying "to me, to you, to me..."!
While they did the tricky work of getting the sofas up the stairs me and Sarah did a comfort test on them :)
And then we all had a well earned sit down!
I really love them, they all recline and are so comfy, Alfie, on the other hand, really hates them! They're are a bit higher than my old ones and the seat is not as wide, I think he's frightened he's going to fall off :)
Saturday night was bingo night, no winnings but lots of laughs!
I did get lucky with a scratch card though :)
And then Sunday really was a day of rest!
Now I'm looking forward to the week ahead and getting my Christmas tree up before Saturday, which is the busiest day of the year for me, arrives.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by
