Week Eleven

Week eleven saw me feeling much better but still very tired, not a good thing on a busy week!  Here are the highlights:

I'm seeing some gorgeous sunsets from my kitchen window now that I'm not arriving home in the dark:
Although Sarah tries really hard to whisper at bingo she can't quite manage it so we made her sit at another table :)
Cinema club went to watch London Has Fallen, great film but not quite as good as the first.  I think Sarah's hubby Chris probably wishes he had pulled a different face when photo bombing us :)
I got my new specs, my readers lol
This girl loves a hat and hats just love her :)
Maddie also got new glasses.  They are black and silver on the outside and aqua on the inside and I love them!
I had a half a pound gain at slimming but, as I'd been ill, it didn't really bother me.  I definitely enjoyed dirty pudding after weigh in :)
We have had a few foggy mornings, it's the only weather that affects my asthma :(
This text conversation with my BFF really had me laughing out loud in the office. Obviously I should have realised it was because he was a gypsy :)
Saturday was crop day and the day really whizzed by!
I only managed 2 full layouts but I did enjoy a few treats and great company :)
Alice was not impressed when I put a pair of her brother's (clean) pants on her head :) This is why I love Project Life, I'll look forward to showing her this photo in my album when she's a teenager :)
On Sunday I had a lovely scrapping day and managed another 3 layouts!
Before I headed to the pub to support the walkers taking part in the Marsden March.  I took part in the walk last year but left it too late to register for this year and they were full :(
Alfie really enjoyed playing with his toys in the garden while the sun was shinning :)
And then he refused to get off my lap in the evening while I was trying to crochet!
So a busy but really lovely week and now I'm starting week twelve at 100% fitness so I may start running again.

I hope you have a great week, thanks for stopping by

Week Ten

Week ten, quite frankly, was rubbish! There weren't many highlights but here's how my week was:

On Monday I couldn't get out of bed, I felt sick, had a cluster headache and ached all over :(
Tuesday was no different except I now had a full on cold :( By Wednesday I was able to get out of bed so went back to work on Thursday.  I think that was a mistake as I hadn't really given myself enough time to get over whatever had struck me down.
I couldn't do any walking or running but my appetite had gone and I just ate fruit most of the time.
So I was very happy with a loss on weigh day :)
And I definitely enjoyed dirty pudding :)
We had our eyes tested and both need new glasses :(
Paul came up for the weekend and we went out to dinner with our friends, Sarah and Chris, on Friday :)
After a day of going here, there and everywhere (all boring places for boring reasons) we went to bingo:
On Sunday I popped in to see my mum for Mother's Day and then cleaned the car :)
And I felt exhausted for the rest of the day so, after Paul had gone home, I had a lovely soak in a bubble bath:
And spent the rest of the evening snuggled with my boy :)
Now it's another week and I'm still not feeling 100% so I'm going to try and take it easy.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by

February's Five Favourites

I had quite a few photos from February to choose from for my five favourites, here are the ones that made the cut:

Me and Maddie (she'll only moan if I don't include a photo of her!)
Alfie with his new baby :)
Alfie being cute :)
Alfie actually wanting his photo taken!
Alice showing off her treasure :)
I can't wait to get these photos scrapped.

Five Favourites Finished!

I really enjoyed working on my layouts for my five favourite photos this month and for once I got them finished in plenty of time!  It's just a shame that illness means I'm only just blogging them :(

This layout has no journalling, I think the title tells the whole story :)
I love the spring colours in the photo and knew I had to use this lovely multi-coloured leaf pattern (yes I'm terrible a just cutting off the branding strips and not making a note of what the paper called!)
Every year I do a birthday selfie and scrap it, this time I didn't journal anything on it like goals for the next year. I think I'm getting a bit lazy with my journalling or maybe it's because I write so much in my Project Life albums.
The start of my couch to 5k journey....with journalling!  I've signed up for the Race For Life in June and although I've done it twice I've only ever walked it, this year I WILL run it!
My boy is always close by when there's food about and he is such a dribbler!
So another five layouts all ready for my album.  This takes my total number of layouts for my Lent challenge to 7 so only another 18 to go.....I'd better get my finger out!

Week Nine

This week's post is very late because I ended February and started March by being really poorly and laid up in bed :(  Never mind, here are the highlights for week nine:

Alfie got a new baby :)
We had a lovely walk in the sunshine :)
I went for my normal Tuesday evening walk with my friend Jo, we were meant to be taking it easy because she had a trapped nerve in her back but we actually walked faster than we've ever done before!
It was nice not having to do my couch to 5k run in the dark :)
My hard work paid off, I lost 1.5lbs this week and enjoyed dirty pudding :)
Doing a full day at work on Friday and not getting home until nearly 7 didn't stop me going straight out and enjoying a run!
This boy woke me up at 5:30 and then spent the morning asleep on the sofa!  I can't really complain about the early wake up because the extra time I had meant I got five layouts done!
I had a very nice win at bingo on Saturday :)
And enjoyed my early morning run on Sunday......just before illness struck and I spent the rest of the day sleeping :(
This week has had an awful start but that just means that things can only get better!

Week Eight

Wow, it wasn't until I started working on this post that I realised what a busy week this was, here are the highlights:

I dusted off my Wii and did some Zumba :)
These two got all lovey, dovey :)
I tried the carb free takeout from the noodle bar, it was lovely :)
We went to the cinema to watch Deadpool, a really great film!
It was raining but I still did my run and I felt so much better for doing it :)
I went to my club to renew my membership and took my darts with me.  I used to play on the ladies team there but haven't picked up a dart in years, once I got back in to it (dartitis is a terrible thing) I really enjoyed it :)
Cheeky Alice wanted to show me her treasure :)
Despite working hard and watching what I was eating I gained 4.5lbs this week!  I was gutted but I know I'm retaining fluid so I'm hoping that's all it is.  I didn't enjoy dirty pudding as much as I normally do :(
I didn't let the gain put me off, I was up early on Friday morning and went for a lovely, frosty run :)
Friday night was bingo night and I was lucky enough to have a little win :)
On Saturday I popped in to see Sarah, I would have stayed longer but her husband Chris nodded off and we couldn't hear ourselves speak over his snoring :) :) :)
In the afternoon I did a bit of scrapping!
And then went to bingo again where I had another little win :)
We were also all given a cute little pug cuddly toy, I was lucky enough to get two so I gave one to Maddie :)
On Sunday I woke up feeling really ill but it was run day and I knew if I missed it I wouldn't get back in to the program.  I probably ran slower than most people walk but at least I did it!
I spent the rest of the day lying on the sofa with Alfie.
Today I feel much better, I think this week will be a quieter one and I'm hoping to do something creative during my spare time.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by
