Week Twenty Seven Included A Massive Gain!

Another week has flown past, here are the highlights:

It might have been a few days late but Maddie finally got a birthday cake!
I made a delicious and SYN free sweet omelette :)
I had time to read in the garden before work :)
Zumba was very hot but a lot of fun :)
Michelle at work took us all out for lunch :)
It was amazing!
And I even had dessert and wine!
Alfie helped me cut the grass :)
I went to a quiz night, we did not do very well :(
After a week of too many treats I gained 5.5lbs!!! I still had dirty pudding though :)
I woke up Friday morning determined to get back on plan but then this is what greeted me when I cut into my watermelon :(
Saturday was crop day and I managed two layouts!
I went to bingo in the evening but didn't have a win :(
On Sunday I went for a lovely long walk
Before going to the cinema to watch Baby Driver, a great film :)
Then I went for a swim :)
Before finally chilling in the garden with a coffee :)
Now we're nearly at the end of another week and I have some very exciting plans for the weekend.

Enjoy the rest of the week and thanks for stopping by

Five Favourites Finished - January

It's taken me longer to get my backside in gear and post these finished layouts than it did to actually create them!

My yearly album always starts with the very first photo of me and Maddie taken just after midnight and this year is no different.
When I first saw this paper I didn't have a clue how I was going to use it but this page came together really quickly.  I was all ready to go out out for Sarah's birthday and I was so pleased to finally be able to wear a top I'd got years ago but had always been too small!
January always includes a layout of me on my birthday and this year I definitely was feeling happy :)
It also snowed on my birthday which was nice.  Me and Sarah went walking over the golf course where the snow was quite thick in places.
These two are always having cuddles and I'll never tire of taking a photo of all of the cuddles and then getting them in an album :)
And there we have it, the 2017 album is started.

Time to start working on the February pages now!

Tale As Old As Time

Mine and Maddie's favourite Disney film is Beauty and the Beast so you can imagine how excited we were when we found out that The Kensington Hotel were doing "Tale As Old As Time" themed afternoon tea!  That excitement soon turned to disappointment when the tickets sold out within 16 minutes of going on sale and we didn't get one :(

Luckily for us my lovely brother in law works at the hotel and managed to get us a table on Maddie's birthday!  Sarah joined us for the fun :)
The menu looked great and there was an amazing choice of teas.
This lovely display was right next to our table :)
I can't tell you how amazing these starters were!
And then the cakes arrived!
There was so much attention to detail :)
Maddie with her favourite character, Lumiere.  Yes, she did want to steal him :)
This vanilla and gold jelly was the most amazing I have ever tasted!
It arrived at the table upside down so it looked like the rose under the glass dome :)
Mrs Potts was there, not to provide the tea but to pour the cream :)
The grey stuff was delicious but very sweet and sickly!
And I did take hundreds of photos!
But this has to be my favourite, a specially decorated plate for Maddie's birthday :)
The only thing that would have made this even better would have been the music to the film being played in the background.  Apart from that it was totally amazing, well worth the money and something we'd love to do all over again!

Week Twenty Six Had A Very Posh Treat

Week twenty six is over, we're halfway through the year!  Here are the highlights:

I had a really great swim after work on Monday :)
And a great workout at Zumba on Tuesday :)
We had a burst water main in Epsom, it took them nearly 4 hours to turn the water off!
We celebrated that Thursday was actually our Friday and looked forward to a long weekend :)
I had a small gain of half a pound this week but still enjoyed dirty pudding :)
Maddie turned 23 on Friday and we had a fantastic day out, so fantastic that it deserves its very own blog post later in the week!
On Saturday I woke up and Alfie was so ill, he kept being sick, his back legs had gone and I thought his time was up :( Four hours later he was almost back to his normal self and I was so relieved.  He posed for this photo so that his Aunty Sandra could see he was feeling much better :)
I had not one but two little wins at bingo :)
I was up and out early on Sunday enjoying the sunshine :)
Me and Sarah went to a Golden Days Festival where there were lots of stalls and dog shows:
An amazing group of singers and dancers:
Classic cars:
And bikes:
And just look at this amazing Dennis the Menace Chopper!
Afterwards we went to a coffee shop for a cool drink.  Now me and Sarah have been friends for over FOUR DECADES and this is the FIRST TIME we have ever gone to a coffee shop together!
After that little treat I went for a great swim :)
And then relaxed in the garden with my book and my boy :)
I hope you have a great week and thanks for stopping by
