Week Twenty Five Included Some Fire Fighting!

Week twenty five was another good one, here are the highlights:

On one of the hottest days of the year my boy decided that the best place to have a lie down was right on top of me!
I popped in to see my brother and ended up grabbing the hose when the fence behind his shed caught fire! Once the flames were out Oliver took charge of the hose while I checked the inside of the shed.
In the extreme heat I still went to Zumba!
I enjoyed sitting in the garden and watching the sun set :)
I went on a very nice 6 mile walk after work :)
Sarah popped in to see my boy and sent me this picture showing how much he loves her :)
I lost 2 and a half pounds and enjoyed my dirty pudding :)
I went on a road trip to see this pretty girl :)
And enjoyed a cold drink :)
We went to the pub on the beach to have a cool beer :)
I made this little dress for Alice, there are lots of little errors in it but it was my first attempt :)
We went for a lovely walk along the beach on Sunday :)
And I earnt this badge.  I'd joined a challenge to walk 1000 miles in 2017 and I've already done it so now I'm going to try for 2017 miles in 2017 :)
We went to a gorgeous hotel for an amazing Sunday lunch!
And then it was time to go home and get ready for the week ahead.

I hope you're having a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Twenty Four Had A Sad Start

Week twenty four was another quick one, here are the highlights:

On Monday I left home at 03:15 and made my way to Yorkshire to say a final farewell to my beautiful friend Stephanie.  I spent half an hour sitting with her before the funeral telling her all the things I was going to miss about her :(

The service was sad, happy, pink and at times funny.  I cried until I laughed and then laughed until I cried.  My sister Jess met me there and all the way home we kept saying that we couldn't believe she was gone.
Tuesday was Zumba day and I had a great workout :)
On Wednesday I cut the grass :)
On Thursday I didn't lose any weight (didn't put any on either) but I did win the raffle :)
And of course I enjoyed dirty pudding!
Maddie was delighted when Friday came :)
On Saturday I went walking with Bingo and Sarah :)
And managed to get some scrapping done :)
Under the watchful eye of Alfie :)
I had a cheeky ice cream sundae at bingo :)
Followed by a little win :)
I had a nice long walk on Sunday :)
Followed by a nice long swim :)
And then chilled in the garden...
With my best boy :)
I hope you're having a great week and thanks for dropping by

Week Twenty Three and A Real Challenge!

Week twenty three was a good one, here are the highlights:

On Monday, instead of going for my usual walk, I went to a coffee shop in my lunch break
To meet up with lovely friends, this is wonderful Mary who I don't get to see that often.
This week was my first anniversary at Zumba, I've come a long way in the last year!  To celebrate my anniversary they made me workout at the front of the class!
We had some very strong winds and I saw this casualty when I went walking in the park :(
I was having a sort out and I found the trousers I wore to my first ever Slimming World weigh in!  It's hard to believe that, at one point, these trousers were so tight that I actually burst the seams when I sat down!
We were very organised on Thursday and got up early to go and vote before work
But then the car wouldn't start so we were a bit late for work :(
I turned my back for 5 minutes at slimming and then found a ton of these photos on my phone! :)
I lost 2 and a half pounds and got my 8 and a half stone award!
Which made dirty pudding taste even more amazing!
On Saturday I was up very early to collect a parcel from the sorting office
It contained some amazing stash :)
In the afternoon I took part in this:
It really was so much fun and I can highly recommend it.
I was determined to do the Leap of Faith at the end.  You jump off a platform that's 10 foot high but you have to do it from standing so you're actually looking down 15 feet.  It doesn't sound high but believe me it was!  I was so determined to do it but it was so hard, luckily there was a lovely marshall with me at the top and he talked to me until I'd calmed down and then I finally took the leap, it was amazing!
And I was very proud to have completed the challenge and collect my medal :)
On Sunday I went out walking with Sarah and Bingo, I was demoted to the rear of the car!
Then I had a lazy day and a very early night because Monday was one hell of a long day!

I hope you're having a great week and thanks for stopping by

Week Twenty Two Started With Heartbreak

I'm so pleased that week twenty two is over and done with!

This time last week I found out that my friend Stephanie had passed away and my heart shattered.  I wanted to do a post about Steph.  I wanted to talk about how every time she entered a room it was like a bottle of champagne bursting open, how she comforted me through heartbreak, how she cheered my successes and how she always made me laugh, proper belly laugh All.The.Time.  But I can't put in to words all I want to say right now, it's still too raw and I still can't believe I'll never see my friend of 27 years again :(
One thing I can say about Steph is she loved pic 'n' mix, if you were going on a road trip of more than 10 minutes she had to have her pic 'n' mix! So, me and my sister Jess got some pic 'n' mix and made a toast to our lovely friend :)
The week also included a quiz night:
A half a pound weight loss and a gorgeous dirty pudding :)
A new dress, I was a size 26/28 on the left and a size 12 on the right!
I got some happy mail :)
I dog sat Bingo and he refused to move when I wouldn't walk the way he wanted to go!
I met the gorgeous baby James :)
I cut the grass and enjoyed being outside with my boy :)
Got woken up with loads of kisses from Bingo far too early!
Had a cuddle with Rufus :)
Cut out a dress pattern for my niece Alice :)
Went for a mile and a half swim :)
And spent the rest of Sunday evening relaxing.
Now it's the start of another week and hopefully happier times are ahead.

Have a great week and thanks for stopping by
