Last year
Stacey Wentford-Hall came up with an idea to do a crochet mood blanket. The idea was to crochet a square a day, choosing a colour to match your mood, and at the end of the year you'd have a lovely blanket. Unfortunately I was late to the party last year so didn't join in, this year is different though!
Now I've crocheted ripple blankets, cowls, scarves and hats since I taught myself 2 years ago but I have never done a granny square! I think they scared me a bit, so on New Years Day I took the bull by the horns and did my first ever granny square :)
So here is my progress for week one of my crochet mood blanket :
Day one - Bluebell as it's one of my favourite colours:
Day two - Camel, because I was going to the beach :)
Day three - Grey, because it was raining.
Day four - copper, because the weather was horrible and I was snuggled indoors while the roast dinner was cooking :)
Day five, Meadow, back to work :(
Day six - Khaki, I took the tree down, work was busy and it was a long day :(
Day seven - Magenta, despite having a headache I was feeling relaxed and good :)
I'm joining as I go and being good by sewing the ends in too! Here is my progress so far:
I really hope that I can keep this project up throughout the year because I think that not only will it be a mood blanket it will be a memory blanket too :)
See you next week for another update.
Thanks for stopping by
