Week Thirty Two

Week thirty two was busy but brilliant, here are the highlights:

The weather was amazing:
We had cinema night :)
Alfie ate the earth from my plants pots and then refused to look at me after I'd told him off!
He then helped himself to dessert by eating the blackberries in the garden :)
Dirty pudding :)
My weight has been creeping racing back up so I'm going back on plan 100%!
I went on a road trip with Pippy :)
We had glorious weather at the beach :)
After almost 8 years of trying I finally got Paul to come for a paddle in the sea with me!
And we spotted some of these, the reason I hate going in the sea :(
We decided to get fitter by getting some bikes :)
And I loved it, I felt so free.  I do need to find some safe places to cycle though because the roads here are too busy :(
We also spent some time relaxing, not a lot though.
And then our amazing weekend was over :(
I have no plans for this week (apart from something exciting on Sunday) so I'll be recharging my batteries.

Five Favourites From July!

It's time to pick another bunch of five favourite layouts for the month, it was another tough choice but here are the finalists:

Paul having a win a bingo :)
My and my girl spending time in the garden together, I don't know how I managed to drag her out there!
My cheeky nephew George celebrating his birthday :)
The calculator :) A story that makes me laugh so much :)
Our first visit to Sprinkles this year :)
I am really looking forward to working with these photos but August is a busy month and I don't have a crop to go to so the pressure is on!

Five Favourites Finished!

Another month has passed and I'm still keeping up with my five favourite photos challenge!  Here are June's favourite photos all scrapped and ready for my album:

My niece Elsie and great niece Charlotte took themselves off for a quiet chat during a family BBQ, I have no idea what they were talking about but it was lovely to watch them :)
My mum drags her lucky charm out at bingo if she hasn't had a win by the time the second half starts!  It's a brooch she got from her mum with some sort of foot/claw on it, we haven't got a clue what it came from but it has fur and feathers on it...yuk!  Sarah thought she would model it on this occasion :)
Last month saw me at the wedding of the year and I have lots of photos to scrap from it.  This was one of my favourites and I've managed to include some of the table confetti from the night on the layout :)
A rare night out with Paul at my neighbour's 30th birthday bash :)
I'm lucky enough to go to a monthly crop with a talented bunch of ladies.  Last month I sat next to Claire, she is on the Hey Little Magpie design team, she also has an amazing number of stamps.  I'm another lover of stamps but I'm never sure how to use them on a layout, Claire showed me how when she created this layout, I loved it so much I just had to copy it :)
That's another five layouts in my album taking the total this year to thirty!

I'll be along to share my five favourite photos from July soon.

Week Thirty One

Another week is over and thankful the start of it was quiet because it got very busy by the end!  Here are the highlights:

I potted some pretty flowers in the garden :)
I had lots of cuddles with my boy while I was crocheting :)
I finished this blanket for my niece Alice, she wanted "a lellow one" :)
Dirty pudding :)
My sister gave me a naughty treat at work :)
I met with Sandra for another naughty treat :)
I saw the blue moon.
I did a 5k walk with my Slimming World buddies :)
And we had a lovely pink fairy with us :)
A reward of a Slimming World picnic at the end :)
Then it was over to Sarah's for a BBQ where Bingo tried to sample the lovely food on offer :)
And then to bingo for an ice-cream pudding :)
No winnings though but we did have a good night.
On Sunday we went for a day out in Wimbledon:
Where we supported the riders in Ride 100, it was amazing!
Then lunch at Nandos :) It was Paul's first time so he played it safe with lemon and herb :)
Before finally relaxing in the garden in the sunshine :)
And I did all of that with a migraine!

I'm hoping that this week will be another good one.

Crochet Mood Blanket Week Thirty

It's been such a long time since I gave an update on my crochet mood blanket that you may have thought it was another project of mine that had slipped to the wayside....wrong!

I'm still getting on with it and enjoying the 10 minutes a day that it takes me to add a square and sew the ends in.

It's not a great picture but here's how it's looking now, 210 bursts of colour :)
I'm so pleased with it and because I've been good and joined as I go it means it's usable, something which Maddie was pleased about the other evening when she was chilly.

I won't leave it so long for the next update and will take a better photo.

Week Thirty

Last week went by in a flash, here are the highlights:

I had the day off on Monday and Paul very kindly laid some new flooring in my toilet to match the bathroom :)
I had a new gate fitted
My first letter from a new pen pal arrived
And I had a little win at bingo :)
My sister Jessica asked me to get her a calculator for work so I got her this one :) Jemma tried to steal it!
Tuesday was cinema night, we went to see Ant-Man and I loved it :)
We had a new telephone system installed at work, it was meant to be a 20 minute job but took 2 days!
Maddie has been really poorly but I did manage to coax her out the garden for some fresh air!
Some of my nieces and my nephew visited the office :)
We celebrated my nephew George's birthday :)
And I had dirty pudding :)
I bought a palm tree for the garden :)
I went down to Paul's for the weekend and had cake at Frieda's :)
He was unhappy because they'd sold out of red velvet cake!
We had a lovely visit from these great birds :)
Pancakes for breakfast :)
And a lovely treat before it was time for me to drive home :)
My weekend ended with a new follower on Twitter!
I feel refreshed and ready for another busy week!

Have a good one
